THE CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) ADVANCE INSPECXTION TEAM VISIT TO NAVAL DOCKYARD LIMITED
On 26th November 2024, the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Advance 2024 Inspection Team, led by Rear Admiral EO Nmoyem, visited Naval Dockyard Limited in Lagos. The visit commenced with a briefing by Rear Admiral AA Orederu, the Admiral Superintendent of Naval Dockyard Limited. During the presentation, Rear Admiral Orederu outlined the achievements, ongoing progress, challenges, and future strategic plans of the Yard, emphasizing its role in supporting the Nigerian Navy's operational readiness. Following the briefing, the inspection team toured the Dockyard's facilities, assessing key operational and technical areas. The inspection highlighted the Yard's capacity in ship maintenance, fabrication, and other naval engineering projects. Rear Admiral EO Nmoyem expressed satisfaction with the efforts and achievements of the Dockyard while encouraging continued innovation and excellence. To commemorate the visit, a Photo Book featuring over 20 completed projects was presented to the inspection team. This document showcased the scope and impact of the Dockyard's contributions to the Navy's mission, underscoring its importance as a strategic asset. The event reaffirmed the Naval Dockyard's commitment to advancing maritime engineering and supporting naval operations.
