THE ADMIRAL SUPERINTENDENT NAVAL DOCKYARD LIMITED END OF THE YEAR 2024 SPORTING COMPETITIONS

The ASNDL End of Year 2024 Sporting Competitions and Recreational Games kicked off on 10 Dec 24 with great enthusiasm and fellowship.The opening ceremony began with inspiring speeches from Admiral Superintendent AA Orederu and the special guest of honor, R Adm AF Matthew. Following their addresses, the athletes were warmly greeted with handshakes from the ASNDL, the SGOH and other senior officers present, lifting the team spirit of the athletes.

The first event, an exciting basketball match between the NDL Dockers and LOG COMD, marked the official start of the competitions.   The sports competition included volleyball, football, badminton and basketball, The competition was aimed to foster a strong team spirit, enhance mental sharpness, alertness and promote overall health and well-being. It was also tailored to the vision of the Admiral Superintendent with the support of the Chief of Naval Staff Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla to celebrate sportsmanship and teamwork thereby strengthening the bonds that unite all participants and athletes as the competition unfolds.

The ASNDL End of Year 2024 Sporting Competitions was concluded on the 18 Dec 24 with a memorable closing ceremony.  The SGOH Rear Admiral SU Gombe (FOC NAVDOC) delivered an inspiring remark encouraging staffs to take advantage of the sporting facilities provided by the ASNDL in keeping fit.  The final tournament of volleyball took place showcasing thrilling competition between NDL and Dodan Warriors. In an exciting finish, the NDL players triumphed as the champions, securing the victory. The event ended on a high note, celebrating both athleticism and brotherhood.
